Blind Melon Biography

Blind Melon is an alternative rock band that formed in Califonia during the early 90s. Though its members found that success was a little hard to come by in their earlier years, the band gained more and more popularity especially because one of its members, Shannon Hoon, became associated with the popular band Guns N’ Roses. Soon, Blind Melon was attracting fans far greater than they had hoped. However, an unfortunate event struck the band and the Blind Melon tour was halted. Shannon Hoon, its lead singer, died of a drug overdose in 1995 and it took a while before the band could accept a replacement. However, in 2024, the band announced that another Blind Melon tour was to take place, this time with their new vocalist Travis Warren.
