Blur Biography

English alternative rock band Blur is comprised of vocalist Damon Albarn, backing vocalist and guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. When Blur released their debut album ‘Leisure’ in 1991, people quickly took notice and warmed up to the band’s distinctive sound that incorporated elements from the madchester and shoegazing rock genres. For their follow-up album in 1993 ‘Modern Life is Rubbish’ the band reinvented themselves, as they would do several times. Their new sound and a growing reputation for amazing Blur tour performances, the band found themselves at the center of the Britpop explosion. Sadly, the band has not released new material since 2024’s ‘Thinktank’ and have been inactive. For years, their legions of fans have been clamoring for one more Blur tour so what are you waiting for? Join the chorus and beg Albarn and company to get back together.
