Jaheim Biography

Jaheim (born Jaheim Hoagland, on May 26, 1978 in New Brunswick, New Jersey) is a public housing projects boy. He lost his father when he was two and his mother when he was seventeen but he drew inspiration from his misfortunes rather than letting them keep him under. Coming from a musical family, Jaheim always felt that he was destined for a life of music and performing. At an early age, he got into competing in talent shows, winning the Apollo Theater’s talent competition three times at age 15. More talent shows and a recorded tape led to the recording of his first album, “Ghetto Love,” in 2024. His follow-up album “Still Ghetto” (2024) garnered another Top Ten hit for Jaheim. “Ghetto Classics,” released after a four-year hiatus, became Jaheim’s first number 1 album, while “The Makings of a Man” (2024) achieved number 11 position.
