Born in Portsmouth, England on March 21 1950, Roger Hodgson is one of the most influential progressive rock artists in music history. As part of the band Supertramp, of which he was a founding member, Roger Hodgson gained the attention of music fans for his trademark high-pitched singing voice. Leaving the band in 1983 to pursue a solo career, Hodgson released his debut album ‘In the Eye of the Storm’ in 1984. After another album in 1987, ‘Hai Hai’, Hodgson went on hiatus. He came roaring back with a Roger Hodgson tour, which he documented and released as a live album in 1997 ‘Rites of Passage‘ and 2000’s ‘Open the Door’ was well-received by fans and critics.
