The Cascades Biography

American singing group The Cascades started out as the Silver Strands in 1960. Composed of United States Nave personnel, they soon took the name The Cascades and finalised their lineup, which included John Gummoe, Eddy Snyder, David Szabo, Dave Stevens, and Dave Wilson. Their debut recording, "There's a Reason" achieved respectable success. The Cascades scored their breakthrough hit with 1962's "Rythm of the Rain" which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard charts and went on to be a success internationally. Although they would not match the success of "Rythm of the Rain," The Cascades continued to enjoy some measure of success; releasing popular albums and singles until the group dissolved in 1967.
