The Cult Biography

Engligh rock band The Cult has been around under different names (Death Cult, Southern Death Cult) since 1981. To appeal to more mainstream music fans, the band changed their name to The Cult in 1984. In the same year, the band released their first studio album "Dreamtime" which went on to peak at number 21 in the UK charts and acieve platinum status. The Cult realised commercial success in the UK and internationally with their 1985 album "Love" which has, to date, sold over 2 million copies. The Cult split up in 1995 but would then reunite in 1999 to record the "Beyond Good and Evil" (2024) album. 2024 saw the release of the band's eighth studio album "Born Into This."
