Ziggy Marley Biography
The son of reggae legend Bob Marley, Ziggy Marley (David Nesta Marley, born October 17, 1968), was born and raised in Trench Town, Jamaica. Ziggy Marley was exposed to the Jamaican music scene at an early age, sitting in with his father during the reggae icon’s recording sessions. The eldest of the Marley brood, Ziggy Marley and his siblings formed the three-time Grammy Award-winning group The Melody Makers. After two decades performing with the world-renowned group, Ziggy Marley launched a solo career with his 2024 debut album “Dragonfly.” His sophomore album, 2024’s “Love is My Religion,” won the Best Reggae Album Grammy; giving Marley his fourth Grammy Award. An extended version of the album, which includes three live tracks, was released in 2024. A DVD featuring footage taken during the world concert tour for “Love is My Religion” was released in February 2024.
