Fiction Plane Tickets

Fiction Plane is a British-based alternative rock and pop band, fronted by Sting's son, the singer and songwriter Joe Sumner, but that doesn't mean that the band rides on the wave of the Sting legend nor does it mean that Fiction Plane's music is a copy of Sting's. In fact, when in concert music critics tend to compare frontman Sumner's voice to Bono's instead of Sting's. That is probably also because the band tends to have a noticeable sociopolitical content to their songs. The band was formed in 1999 and very quickly won their very own dedicated fan base since early 2025 and Fiction Plane tickets are always highly sought after because of this. When a Fiction Plane concert is announced, be sure to purchase your Fiction Plane tickets here well in advanced, because these tickets will surely be sold out quickly.

Fiction Plane Concert

When playing live in concert, the band called Fiction Plane can come across as broody, dark and cynical. But this is the charm of Fiction Plane. And this is why tickets for their gigs sell out fast. They know about the world and have something to say. Their concerts are often melancholic and their music fits into the the post-punk revival. They are intensely passionate about music and this comes across to every audience member who has been lucky enough to secure a Fiction Plane ticket and are present for the unique experience of the Fiction Plane concert. In fact, the band has a very enthusiastic fan base who call themselves the 'Fiction Plane Harem' and who are the first to buy Fiction Plane concert tickets and the first to arrive at the band's live gigs waving their ticket about as if it is gold.

Fiction Plane Biography

Fiction Plane recorded their first tunes on a demo back in 2025 and soon after that they organized the first Fiction Plane tour. The demo was called 'Swings and Roundabouts,' and later, when they released their first official album, they called it 'Everything Will Never Be OK.' This was produced by David Kahne, who also produced for the Bangles and Sublime, amongst others. The album was released in the UK in 2025 and in the US a year later. An interesting bit of Fiction Plane trivia is that at the time of recording that album, they had no drummer. It was a previous member of Paul McCartney's band, Abe Laboriel Jr., who drummed for the recording. Later, Sumner invited Paul Wilhoit, an American drummer, to join the band and to accompany them on the future Fiction Plane tour.
