The Dubliners Biography

Founded in 1962 in Dublin, Ireland by Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly, Ciaran Bourke and Barney McKenna The Dubliners originally carried the name “The Ronnie Drew Group". As one of the world’s oldest active bands, The Dubliners have understandably had numerous changes in their lineup. Of the current roster consisting of Barney McKenna, John Sheahan, Sean Cannon, Eamonn Campbell and Patsy Watchorn, McKenna is the only remaining member of the original The Dubliners lineup. Starting with their debut album 45 years ago with The Dubliners with Luke Kelly, this Irish folk band has released more than 40 records to date. And, the band is still active with their annual concerts tours in Europe.
